Rivers' Edge Provides Food & Schooling to East Africa Community

Rivers’ Edge Countertops announced it would be partnering with Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Blanchard, in presenting a charitable donation to Hope for the Future Africa. The employees of Rivers’ Edge each pledged a portion of their paycheck to assist in providing food and schooling to Kachere, a small community outside Malawi, east Africa.

Jeremiah Rivers, the owner of Rivers’ Edge Countertops, chose to support Hope for the Future Africa after his family visited the town of Kachere with the church, supplying mats and blankets to the families found sleeping on dirt floors. The Rivers family has been involved with this organization for a few years and now advocates for the community’s education efforts.

“When my family visited and saw that these kids didn’t have food to eat, it resonated with me having a son of my own,” Jeremiah shared. “Everyone should have food and the opportunity to attend school. Education is a key ability when conducting business trades with nearby villages.”

Rivers' Edge Treats Clients to Spanish Adventure

Rivers’ Edge brought a small group of clients on a trip to Almeria, Spain to explore the Cosentino headquarters. Cosentino has seven production facilities, 14 natural stone quarries, and 15 processing centers worldwide. The complementary trip took place May 31 - June 4. Clients had the opportunity to tour the largest granite mining site, visit a 2,000-year-old marble quarry, explore the Dekton and Silestone facilities which consist of 15 million square feet of manufacturing space, and learn the process of one of the world’s leading stone exporters.

Jeremiah Rivers, CEO of Rivers’ Edge Countertops shared, “Our reason for this trip is to show our customers how much we value their business. The appreciation we have for them carries over to our attention to detail. We scour the world to find the most intricate, high-quality slabs. This is a particularly special trip, our clients were able to catch a glimpse into our process and we were able to receive their feedback.”
